Computer science trainee patent attorney

We are a personnel consultancy focusing on the recruitment of very rare and experienced specialists in intellectual property law. On behalf of various patent law firms and patent departments of mostly large companies, we are looking for experienced patent attorneys, patent engineers, and other highly qualified employees as well as for committed graduates looking for an interesting and lucrative job.

We are currently looking for graduated engineers (f/m) in the field of

Computer Science

who would like to find their way into the patent system as so‐called patent attorney candidates.

You will complete your studies in computer science in the foreseeable future. You find it exciting to always be in touch with the latest innovations. You will not only be interested in preparing these developments and inventions in writing, but also in securing them legally. You are therefore interested in both technology and science as well as the legal background. Perhaps you have already had your first contact with the patent system, e.g. in the course of a dissertation. This would be an advantage, but is not a condition. In any case, you can quickly grasp complicated technical facts and formulate them concisely, even in English.

First, experienced patent attorneys will assist you in the drafting, filing and defence of technical property rights (patents, utility models, designs, etc.) and thus prepare you for the corresponding admission examinations. Among other things, you will work closely with the development and patent departments — predominantly large international industrial companies — and also conduct patent searches. On a daily basis, you deal with the so‐called state of the art and examine invention disclosures with regard to their technical and legal protectability.

At the earliest, after at least three years of training, you will be admitted to an aptitude test before the European Patent Office. The training office will then register you for the patent attorney examination at the German Patent and Trademark Office. After passing both examinations, you will have the opportunity to join the firm as a European Patent Attorney.

If this interesting and lucrative task appeals to you, you should contact us. In order to prepare a personal meeting, please send us the usual documents. Mr. Stefan Wallenreiter is also available to you in advance as a contact person.
